The EOCC Women's Basketball team is going home for the Thanksgiving Holidays with a 3 win 3 loss record. The lady weevils lost their first three games, and then ran off three straight victories. The most impressive was a 20-point win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. ABAC was a perfect 6-0 until that meeting.
The lady weevils are led by the play of sophomore guard Wennica Foster (22ppg & 7.6 rpg). Sarah King, Shavanda Stephens, and LaShunda Thomas have all played extremely well. They are the core of our guards and are very important to the teams? success. This year?s team has also been helped significantly by the post play of Diana Coleman (9.3ppg & 8.8rpg), Richere Harrison (11.7ppg & 6.5rpg), Kendra Bryant (4.8ppg & 3.7rpg).
Upon returning from the Thanksgiving Holiday the Lady Weevils will face Darton College at home and South Georgia Tech on the road. The team is starting to gel and play as a team. If this continues, so should the teams winning ways.
