Gadsden State added some much needed depth to it lineup this season. A thin pitching staff has been improved by the addition of some talented freshmen hurlers. The Cardinals returned two of their weekend starters, Jesse Mulkey and Adam Sanders, and have added ten freshmen to the mix and hope to improve on their conference pitching depth.
The Cardinals return their starting catchers, DeWayne Boyd and Caleb Ficken and should be solid behind the plate. They lost three of their top hitters and will rely on Taylor Watts and a host of new starters to move the offense.
The season has opened with wins over Columbia State and the Cardinals look to make a run in a strong Northern Division this spring.
