Born in England, September 21, 1957,
Danny Cox graduated fro Warner Robbins High School in Warner Robbins, Georgia,
and began his college baseball career as a pitcher at Chattahoochee Valley State
Community College in Phenix City, Alabama.
In his two years at Chattahoochee Valley,

All Gulf South Conference player, a first-team NCAA Division II All-American,
and the MVP in the South Regional 1981 tournament. TSU played in the Division
II College World Series both seasons that Cox pitched for them, finishing fourth
in the nation both years. Cox signed with the St. Louis Cardinals and pitched
