BASKETBALL MEN
After helping the Jefferson Davis Warhawks win a South Division regular season title and birth in the region final four, R. J. Bowers returns for his sophomore season. As the only returning player from last year's squad, R. J. is serving not only as a player, but also as mentor to the young Warhawk team. "If there was ever a guy well suited to lead a team, it's R. J." said head coach Allen Gainer. "R. J. is a coach on the floor and a true competitor at heart. He pushes the other players to get better and holds himself to the highest of standards." A deadly three point shooter, R. J. will be looked to for points for the Warhawks, but he is also an outstanding defender. In addition to his abilities on the court, he is also a strong student, on pace to graduate in spring with a concentration in business.
